Goddess Laxmi is worshipped during evening to bless all her devotees. Goddess Laxmi is believed to be Goddess of good fortune. It is believed to bring good luck and fortune to home. All elders and children of the family come together for pooja in the evening Goddess Laxmi is decorated with beautiful "shringar" and illuminated with light and diyas. It is a most celebrated Hindu festival.
