Diwali is the most auspicious and important festival of Hindus. Diwali, also often known as Deepavali which means festival of lights.   • Deepavali means "The row of lighted lamps" i.e. Deep (lighted lamps) + vali (row) which gives a word called Deepavali. This festival of light signifies victory of light over darkness which also means victory of good over evil.
  • Deepavali means great shopping week of the year, markets are filled with enchanting people and there is great market offer too to lure customers. People buy big buys like cars, furniture, home products etc on Deepavali as it is thought be auspicious to buy during the festival time.
  • Rangoli is drawn with different sparking colors on the occasion of Deepavali. In schools and Colleges Rangoli competitions also take place to celebrate the spirit of Deepavali.
  • Goddess Laxmi is worshipped during evening to bless all her devotees. Goddess Laxmi is believed to be Goddess of good fortune. It is believed to bring good luck and fortune to home. All elders and children of the family come together for pooja in the evening Goddess Laxmi is decorated with beautiful "shringar" and illuminated with light and diyas. It is a most celebrated Hindu festival.
